2003年から共同で「東アジア社会調査(East Asian Social Survey)」に取り組んでいる、韓国、中国、台湾チームと共同で作成した「EASS 2024ネットワークモジュール」を組み込んで、「日本版総合的社会調査JGSS-2024N」を、2024年2月から4月に実施した。社会的ネットワーク、社会参加、社会的信頼が、2012年からどのように変化し、新たにどのような課題が生じたかを捉えるために、EASS 2012ならびに日本独自の課題を含むJGSS-2012、およびJGSS-2000以来の継続課題と比較できる形で設計した。
【JGSS-2024N調査準備と実施】6-8月：調査方法の検討、調査会社選定と契約。9-11月：調査票確定と研究倫理審査書類の作成。12-1月：全国360地点抽出；調査票、自治体への閲覧依頼文、抽出要領、対象者への事前挨拶状と調査概要のパンフレット作成；20～89歳男女個人5,400人抽出；調査資料確定・印刷。2-4月：留置法で実施；2,651票（粗回収率49.1％）。
【JGSS/EASS分析報告】7月：EASSチームの企画セッション「Health and Well-being of Individuals in East Asia: Changes from 2010 through 2021」が、国際社会学会第20回世界大会（メルボルン）で採択され、司会と報告；同様に採択された日本社会学会企画セッション「Recovery, Resilience, and Regeneration beyond Disasters」で、JGSS累積データ2010～2023に基づく報告。10月：日本社会学会第96回大会のセッション「大規模災害からの復興の地域的最適解に関する総合的研究 2023」で報告。
1月：European Social Survey（ESS）の本部があるロンドン大学でEASSとESSの研究協力協定を締結；コロナ禍での調査方法の変容を各チームが報告；ウェブ調査の導入を含めた今後の方向性を議論。
【JGSS累積データに基づく資料提供】4-7月：宗教「朝日新聞」。1月：総務省統計委員会「複数領域統合型世帯調査に関する調査研究」（ウェルビーイングを測定する大規模な継続的な全国調査）。
